This is why I can't stand militant vegans. Their all-or-nothing bullshit attitude makes people ignore what the real message should be. That factory farmed meat is shit. Vegans think eating an animal is the same as raping a child, that there is no middle ground. Thats fucked up. Eating an animal is eating an animal, and there is most certainly a middle ground.

It wouldn't take much to convince people to just source their meat from a high quality farm, how to avoid supporting shitty companies like tyson, JB, butterball, and other industries that care more about profit than welfare. They think there is no difference between a bird that lives its life outside on pasture with fresh air and a bird that lives in a shit infested cafo barn. Fuck vegans, they are literally so blinded by their ethics that they are actually destroying the thing they claim to protect.

TL;DR Dude, you can do what you want. Ultimately its your dollar. But if I were you, I'd get a chest freezer and buy a nice wholesale beef from a regenerative farm. It's better meat and you get a shittton of it. Even if you ate nothing but meat you could live off of just an entire cow for a year. Please, go seek out good small scale farmers in your local area. Don't let these vegans coerce you into getting sub par meat. You deserve better.

A homestead duck you gave a good life and a quick, low stress, and overall painless death to is way less tough than eating an animal that was raised in a concentration camp.

I'm gonna get chickens next year, the duck is so god damn delicious, I wanna know if pasture raising will make chicken taste better too. I can't go back now that I've had duck, supermarket poultry tastes like cardboard in comparison.

Also you need a good turkey. Most people raise turkey like conventional broiler chicken, which means it's gonna taste like cardboard. Fuck those god damn ugly ass pale ass cafo turkeys get a pasture raised heritage breed bird ffs.
