I met my current partner right before the turn of our childhood, when we were 14. The first meal I made him were pizza rolls, and I remember being so nervous around him that I was worried I’d made the pizza rolls wrong. We’ve been together for years now, and been through our share of bad times. I only get to see him every other weekend since I’m in college a ways away. It’s just nice to recall when things were simple. We used to live only a short road apart and we’d meet halfway. I really took that time for granted, being so close and readily available for each other. I didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have, I was in such a hurry to grow up and have freedom. Now I’m free to do whatever I want and I can’t. I’m stuck on this stupid campus.
