my mom fusses so hard and worries. I'm not much of a cook but I still have to call her when it snows to let her know I got to work safe. I'm 22 and Canadian. Since I work nights I'll sometimes text her to avoid driving when it's really bad out because I know it makes her feel better waking up and seeing it. Something about knowing I'm paying attention I guess.
the dull knives thing almost exactly happened to me too. But my mom actually listened when I told her a dull knife is more dangerous and let me sharpen hers.
