Trying to make this

https://feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/lebanese-garlic-sauce/

Failed the first time, turned into liquid. Someone said put an egg white in with a little bit of the mix to make the emulsion but I had limited success (the mixture mixed and isn't separating but it's still far from fluffy.

Can I try again or what?

>between 8 and 10 yo
>dad has to watch me but got drunk
>warms me up some sweet and sour asian meal
>kid me dislikes it to the point of getting sick in the stomach
>father screams at me and forces me to eat everything even though I nearly barfed in my mouth
>meal begins to taste sweet & sour & salty due to my tears
It took me a couple of hours to finish my plate and I dislike sweet & sour foods to this day. I wasn't a picky eater as a kid btw

Was I supposed to drain the tomatoes?

I made some pasta sauce last night and I decided to use diced tomatoes instead of crushed and it's as liquidy as soup.

Should I drain the liquid in a strainer?
