That I'm aware of. The problem is that the only sensible classification ever written on ANY rice packaging in stores here in the US is the grain, even when shopping in Asian stores or Asians aisles in grocery stores, which is mind-boggling.

I've looked for rice labeled glutinous rice, I've looked for rice labeled Japanese rice, I've looked for rice labeled sticky rice... nothing.

And then when I tried figuring out which grain type is the one I need, I got conflicting information.

But I guess it's short grain then. Thanks for the info, /ck/.

Not defending OP's autism, but you've clearly never tried McDonald's takeout.

McDonald's food turns into a horrifying, disgusting, dry mess 10-15 minutes after you receive it.

I mean, it's not far off from that even when hot, but waiting to eat it just makes it absolutely inedible even if you're starving. Feels like chewing cardboard.

>Everyone leaves their plate at the table

This is what gets me more than the lack of cleaning up after the meal.

I can deal with people stacking their dishes in the sink or dishwasher or something after a meal, retiring to rest after the food, and then coming back to clean it up later (not ideal, since it becomes much harder to clean off dried up food, but still).

But how does it even occur to someone to just... get up from a table, leave their dirty plate right there, and go?

Where does that even happen? It doesn't happen at restaurants (waiters pick up your dishes before you leave, unless they're snail-paced low wage slaves). I've never seen it happen to anyone eating at home. I've never encountered it when eating at someone else's house. I've literally never seen anyone leave their dirty plate just sitting there on the table after finishing and departing the table.

That's like leaving your waste and toilet paper unflushed after using the bathroom...
