They cut down the meat percentage by quite a big margin. They also mix more water with their syrup than they should for their soda. Etc.
They cut down on a lot of costs with their products, which means that the products drop in quality.

So naturally their meat will taste a lot worse than real hamburger meat (which is pretty much 100% meat). Same deal with the rest of the things that make up their burgers.

It's not rocket science.
