Jesus guys, I'm a hick that eats meat-and-potato meals 95% of the time, and even I knew that was a Mexican thing. Trying to tell OP they are doing shrimp cocktail wrong? Jesus shrimping christ.

OP, think a little harder. Hot/Spicy things help discourage the growth of harmful bacteria. So if you bought that chicken and doused it in hot sauce before it went bad, then I'd gladly hear about your foray into guinea pig territory and tell you to eat it up. HOWEVER, you're talking about chicken that has (likely) already produced bad bacteria. And it's not just the bacteria that makes you sick, but the toxins they create. If that chicken is already full of bad stuff, then adding hot sauce is not going to actively remove the bad stuff, nullify it, or make it less toxic.

How's that fucking box? It was labeled "DUH" and sitting calmly above your original reasoning.
