I'm an expat whose been living in Russia for the past few years and the culinary experience has been nothing short of miserable. The vast majority of pizza being sold here is offensive to civil society yet you can't really trust reviews since Russians genuinely don't know any better. I thought there would at least be decent Chinese/Vietnamese food given the immigrants that settle here to open up a restaurant, but they clearly aren't bringing their best and the food is usually gas station tier. The Georgians are the only consistently decent demographic that produce good food here, even the Uzbeks generally have superior dishes to "traditional" russian restaurants.
