I used to think of fast food as a cheap (≤$5) thing you picked up after work, on the road, or otherwise only ate as a child. But then I stopped worrying and realized that with the high cost of everything these days, and getting take-out/delivery becoming more normalized, the sheer quantity of food you can get for $15 at a place such as Del Taco more than makes up for the quality of a single dish you’d get at a comparable 88% scratch restaurant kitchen. I also picked up some cheap Speyside, a handle of French vodka, and made a burger – for good measure.
