>start using dishwasher
>it's awful; things are greasy, the drain gets clogged routinely, at one point the soap mechanism broke
>wake up one morning and kitchen is flooded; dishwasher wasn't even on night before
>go back to washing dishes by hand
>month goes by and my gf's mysterious stomach issues are gone
>ffw more we spring for a ritzier apartment
>type of place where guests are screened
>beautiful kitchen, massive sink
>top of the line dishwasher
>ok let's try it out again
>seems cleaner, drain doesn't get clogged
>with 2 weeks my gf's stomach is fucked up again
>go back to hand washing, her problems clear up
>she's legit had GI issues since she was a kid (always had a dishwasher)
>now we live together in a starter home; we take turns hand washing
>her GI issues are gone, hasn't had a single flare up even when she eats garbage on her period
I'm not saying correlation = causation, but there is something fucking demonic in either dishwasher soap or something. Like there's unseen residue left over polluting the food we eat.
And even that amazing dishwasher we had would leave a greasy texture on certain dishes.
We used multiple different soaps, pods, one of those gyroscope looking things you hang inside.
Dishwashers are by and large garbage.

I think you should ask the candy industry this question. There have been no hit new candy bars created in the last 10 years. Every shelf is still the same snickers, m&m's, starburst, jolly ranchers candy. Nobody has invented something new and exciting in big candy, they are just selling us 20 year old brands.
