I've never had their coffee stout, but lagunitas imperial stout is one of my favorite beers

Lagunitas imperial is my go to "I need a beer" Beer. Its like 3.60 where I live and I love the licorice backnotes. You ever had it?

I love a good Old Rasputin or Expedition Stout but the humble Lagunitas Imperial is my go-to.

It nails the fundamentals of a good stout without resorting to memes like chocolate, chili, peanut butter, caramel, etc. like most stouts. It's a stout that tastes dark and deep and roasty but tastes like a beer and not a chocolate shake.

This shit is better than some of the meme stouts that I've tried and way cheaper at $5 a bomber. It's not overly fancy or anything but it has a wonderfully thicc mouthfeel and rich malt, chocolate, and coffee notes. Sure it's no Old Rasputin or Expedition but it still pulls its weight. Underrated imo.
