Procedure:

1. The key to making amazing popcorn is timing, hence you need to have everything ready and in place before you turn on the stove. The bowls must be close by, the overmitts laid out next to the stove, and the spices prepped and warmed. The most crucial point is when you add the spice bowl to the pot, which is just as the kernels are nice and warm, ready to start the chain reaction where the released heat from popping spurs on the other kernels just under the threshhold to pop, and so on. Too soon, and the ingredients in the spice bowl interferes with the chain reaction and popping quality, and you get a poor quality pop with many duds. I have no idea why this is the case exactly, but that is what I learned from experience. Too late, and you will have your face covered in searing oil from popping kernels splashing that shit all over while you lift the lid. Butter and chutney makes this timing especially difficult, but it is by far the bestest flavourful thing you can do to popcorn, so the payoff is worth the effort, risk and inevitable failures. Ganbarre!

2. Prepare the spice bowl. Since this is the hardmode recipe that uses butter, first add the butter to the spice bowl and melt it in the microwave. Then add the salt, chutney, hot sauce, turmeric, cayenne pepper and cinnamon and mix. It is imortant to keep the butter as close to the popping temperature as you can, butter interferes with popping quality if you add it early, and if it isn't warm enough it will slow down the popping when you do add it. So you will have to microwave it for 5 or 10 seconds every minute or so while the pot heats up, and then again 10 seconds just before you add it, to make sure it is nice and hot and won't interfere.

I don't know, I think this thread is fucking hilarious. It's like a couple anons went nuts because someone defending him and someone else expressed curiosity about him and they decided that meant he was here and now they're turning this into some sort of tumblr-like crusade.

I kind of want to save images of this thread for posterity.
