Fuck I got a Madhur Jaffrey book with my pen scribbles all over it from 30 years ago when I was a kid and used to cook her biryani recipe with my dad. I also have memories of my dad starving me for a day then only giving me a really hot curries so that I'd get used to the heat, I was brought up on curries. I'm just trying to see if you're a normie. I'm also poking at how loose Indian dish definitions are, biryani doesn't need meat.
