This is a brandy ginger log.
Take a pack of hard ginger snap biscuits (cookies for our Western Hemisphere cousins). Dunk the ginger snaps in brandy and stick them together with brandied whipped cream to form a log. Cover the log with more brandied whipped cream. Leave for 24 hours in the fridge to set, then serve to your ten year old nieces and nephews at Christmas for maximum laughs.

It's a bit of a forgotten 1950's classic but it's tasty and full of sugar, fat, carbs and booze.
