Chicago has better burgers than NYC.

So I came back from the brand new raising canes that showed up in my city a few days ago. First one around here so kinda a big deal.

It was mad busy and what was interesting was that despite this Midwestern community being largely white and this cane's in a largely white neighborhood was how many black folks were there. It's almost like they could smell it from miles away. I mean there were as many black folks as there were at a baptist church on a Sunday morning.

Now onto the food, I do appreciate how it seems as if it was hand prepared for my order. The strips go down way too easy but were good. They have a really nice breading to them. You may hate me but I don't like "goop" so I skipped the cane sauce. I suppose I could have randomly traded it to someone else eating there. I enjoy krinkle cut fries but the mini krinkle remind me too much of steak and shake and I can't say I'm a big fan of them. The texas toast and slaw were decent. Rookie mistake, I didn't get lemonaid but I'm glad they have coke products and I like the crushed rather than cubed ice.


Overall the golden dog makes pretty good chicken for a dog but there is a popeyes like 3 blocks from where I live if I have a hankering to kill myself by means of greasy chicken so I'm not sure I would want to drive across town for it.

Doing it again, I would skip all the extras like toast, slaw and fries and just get like double chicken instead. I give raising canes, two pee stained carpet spots out of four.
