Because in america anything better than "barely fit for human consumption" is considered premium yuppie pretentious fag shit, and since "beer guys" are the most fragile people in the food and bev industry, they had to come up with a suitable term that flattered the machismo of these overweight pink faced muttoids. "Craft" conjured images of a sweaty manly lumberjack, so that went over pretty well in the early 2000s when lumberjack aesthetic hadn't been fully appropriated by the urban soy boys and the visual still carried implications of rustic simplicity, quaint and cuddly xenophobia, and bucolic Norman Rockwell-esque scenes of alcohol-fueled domestic abuse. So they ran with that, and now anyone who says they like beer needs to jam that extra word in front so everyone knows they don't drink PISSWATER like they have in germany, where they hate us and are jealous of our freedom.

As shitty as /ck/ always has been, one thing that has changed over the years is that it used to be possible to get banned for posting /pol/-tier shit. Not consistently, but at least the /pol/ shit didn't consistently stay up for days. Now you can only get banned for posting about food and cooking and the /pol/ shit grows and grows. Think about what kind of person it takes to even decide being a janny is a good idea, then ingratiate yourself with the IRC "community", then commit to doing this for free, with 4chan having been associated with nazis, incest, and child rape in the public's imagination for long enough for a new generation to grow up and put their grubby fingers onto a touch screen.

Doubtful, since several wine-related threads were deleted, the mod is still on a full anti-alcohol rampage. They were complaining that the problem was "generals" so I made some threads specifically to discuss left bank vs right bank merlot, or macon vs beaune for burgundy. Deleted, because "off topic".

If we can't even talk about terroir then you degenerates have no chance of being allowed.

That really depends on the green stuff. Also, you are aware that meatless meals are not just "a pile of lettuce", right? You're pretty much still looking at the entire range of wines still, although the number of mouth-puckering tannin bombs is going to be lower since those really only play well with the fats of certain four-legged land creatures. But you could still be using some midweight reds, as well as a lot of white and rose wines, depending on the food.

Also, new mod policy is that alcoholic beverages are haram, hope you enjoy your break from this website.
