This is a really stupid question but...how do you go to a restaurant?

Like, what if you want to sit at one of the tables outside, do you just sit there and wait for someone to come, or do you have to go inside and ask for a table

And then when the bill comes and you put your card in the little tray, do you have to call the waiter again to come back or do you just wait for them to come back

And what if it's super fancy, do you say "I'd like the rabbit followed by the beef" like in the Trip? Will someone laugh at you if you say the entire name of the dish

And how can you tell whether a restaurant allows solo diners? or if it's just groups only

Please help
