the restaurant is just what I do to afford my lifestyle. I own my car, I rent a downtown apartment in an alright city, I drink and do drugs, and I have expensive hobbies that I probably spend more on in a month that you do on your rent. I make ~$2k+ a week just working 4 days. I'm also able to leave for weeks or months at a time and come back whenever I need to, which allows me to tour with my band and the other bands I manage. not all restaurant employees are poorfags believe it or not. I make as much as or more than my wife does as a nurse and my life is way more flexible, and my job is a lot easier than hers.

The 'almost closing' trick used to be KILLER at lil caesars. I used to frequent the one by me and a couple of the people there knew me. I'd go by close to closing and just buy a $5 hot n ready, and ask if they had anything they were going to toss when they close in a few minutes. they'd almost always say yes and slide me a free pizza or a couple packs of crazy bread, sometimes I'd get lucky and they'd give a bunch of shit. way back when I was in high school the one where I lived would just place like 5-15 pizzas in their dumpster area right after close, not on the ground or anything but on this like 'shelf' that was really just part of the enclosure or whatever. so me and my buddies would hang out in the alley behind them and wait for them to put them out, then we'd grab those bitches, still hot, and take them to our weed dealer. he was a guy who had a wife and like 3 kids and he'd trade us like a half oz of weed (it was just mids, like $120/oz) for them to feed his kids lmao. then we would sit in his living room and roll blunts with the weed and we would watch simpsons on dvd on his like $4000 50" plasma TV while smoking and eating our dumpster pizza. good fuckin times, that was like 2006 or so.
