>tonight, pretty dead since it's the week after labor day
>finish prep, there was absolutely nothing to do
>line cook notices one of the ladels is way shinier than the others
>he's probably totally high
>tells me we should polish the ladels
>puts them all in the dish pit
>i pull the floor buffer out of the closet and bring it back
>knock it over and tape it on
>just start polishing the shit out of dozens of ladels, chucking them into the dish pit when i feel satisfied with it
>servers walking by staring down at me
>wash them and hang them back up
>they don't even look that much better than before
