Depends where you go for food service, the insincerity of American waiting staff irritates me, as it's so blindingly obvious they expect a tip, for their cheesy talk and painted smile.

But you must agree that staff in a non-tipping country are GENUINELY grateful and pleased if they receive a tip, rather than expecting me to supplement their income?
