What kind of food goes well with whisk(e)y?

I have an issue where I really like expensive scotch and bourbon. but my favorite way to consume alcohol is by drinking large volumes of very cold liquid like beer or a rum and coke.

I'll buy a $70 bottle of scotch and just finish it in a few days cause I can't just sip something.

Anyway, anyone here keep their good stuff in the freezer or is that considered degenerate?

Is it just me or is this fairly watered down? I expected this to be some monster of strong taste. But I’ve had 40%ers stronger than this.

For me, it's Laphroaig.

Tastes just like a campfire next to the ocean.
