I already saw some videos, like the majority of people who spend time online. You can not watch things "without external context" because the concrete world is just that, a big context, the social world, a big ass context.

My main problem with vegans is that they take a structural issue (our economic system whose only motivation is profit making) and instead of tackling it as such, they transform it into an ethical question, with the usual moral blackmail involved:
>What do YOU do for animmuls?
>How can you EAT MURDER?

This is the typical postmodern attitude of most of the people under late capitalism: "we have systemic crises? Let's consume better!"

"There's an African warlord raping children? Buy KONY T-shirts! Indian kids have no shoes? Buy Nike, where included in the price is a small donation to said kids."

Those horrid vids are 9 out of 10 times from America where they have literal feces sprinkling farm factories ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayGJ1YSfDXs ) or from some third world country. Modern regulations in the EU, for instance, are pretty effective at combating animal mistreatment, to the absurd point where a fucking goose has a comfier life and death than the average working class person.

So yeah, "Get fucked, you bourgeois moralist scum." Either dare to tackle the causes of your problem (the profit motive makes factory owners want to squeeze production to the max, boxing in animals to smaller and smaller cubes) or shut the fuck up.

BTW, we are omnivores. Your biological makeup literally requires you to eat meat or your body starts malfunctioning.
