Not really. Jewish culture is basically gone for most secular jews in the states.

Most parsees are secular too, but we are highly traditional.

Having the families get along is most important though - nobody wants to deal with shitty in-laws, and that destroys communities. Thus, a necessary but not sufficient condition should be for parents to approve.
