Japanese food guy I have a question. Can you explain why panna cotta is one of the default desserts at so many Japanese restaurants? Aside from Italian places it's the only other national cuisine where they seem to love the stuff.

I like panna cotta too, it's just that it seems arbitrary for Japanese chefs to be so enamored with it.
