I boil chicken leg quarters in a mix of water, vinegar, salt and hot sauce before grilling because I hate biting into a thigh or leg and the meat close to the bone is raw or bloody. I don't mean boiled to falling off the bone, just about 25 min. then grill basting with sauce of your choice. I despise going to a church or other fund raising event, or backyard barbeque, and some "master of the grill" puts raw chicken on a grill, gas or charcoal, and proceeds to coat with sweet bottled sauce, then burn it black in 10 min and pronounce it done That is when I suddenly become vegetarian, eating what ever sides available.

guess ok if losing weight, but so boring. and actually pretty expensive compared to thighs, even boneless skinless. I even buy canned chicken for chicken salad sandwiches (cannd chicken 15 oz, drained, mayo, sour creme to taste, black pepper,, no salt-enough in there, dill or bread and butter pickle cubes. serve on bread with lettuce make two sandwiches and costs < 4 bucks. My family roasts chickens on holidays, and my brother in law taught me hoy to make chicken and dumplings( and other stuff, he could open a restaurant, buts semi retired) but deep fried "tendies" or "nuggies"?have we all regressed to age 5 might as well eat tofuee, deep fried.

Chicken is ok. Am I the only(est) that is bored and dislikes chicken breasts.Thighs, skin on barbeque. or off, chicken and dumpling.,Sorry,but chicken breast,even packed with ham and cheese (cordon blue) is so boring. .You can have that. gimme thighs and legs. every time. and cheaper. I guess it is a preference. ok, but to me, thighs and legs rule,.Quit picking on others.give them a chance..

actually probably the wisest post. every one gots to have that white meat. not me. legs and thighs wings were good until per/lb price = steak some times hard to find thighs. its ok. rotisere chicken. 8 bucks. rirst to come off is legs and thighs. nom nom(I would tell you feeds two, but I'd be lying) now the breast/white meat. chicken salad, chichen chow mien, chopped chicken and stuffing. but so bland. usually just chicken sandwiches with crystal or,tp and mayo hey, not bad day three soup day really works best in the fall. soup or stock. there are quite a few dogs around, and you don want them choking on left over chicken bones.unless you want a gigantic vet bill double or tripple bag in grocery storebags return to sender( find a dumpster) cant leave it there, they will dig it up and dogs don't need chicken bones congratulaions three days ,/= 8 bucks to me the most boring is the white meat. pay no attention all the best parts are headed for the eu, russia, poland or other points.
