Scoby from commercial bottle update. after a week and a half starting just from commercia kombucha and sweet (oolong) tea, I think it's ready for action. It's a good 6mm thick or so, and before I disturbed it, it had quite a lot of CO2 bubbles underneath.

I tasted the kombucha itself, and it's still quite sweet, though definitely has that vinegar punch as well. Drinkable. I'm going to try bottling it in some grolsh bottles to get it fizzy.
