McD can also be very over priced in some countries. I was stuck in Bangkok once and had a hankering for a orea Mcflurry. I ended up paying equivalent 6 usd for it when I could've gotten a handmade shake with real fruit cut open on the spot for 1 usd from any street vendor that would've been 10x better.
The weirder thing is people seem to love going there, its seen as a status thing to be seen going to McDonald's, full of rich teenagers buying shitty hamburgers for more than you would pay in the US for them.
