Not all salts have the same amount of sodium chloride in them. That pink meme salt tastes less salty per teaspoon than table salt.
And of course there's a difference in taste, if you can't taste the difference between iodized salt and non iodized salt then you're a tastelet, you can taste the iron on Hawaiian red salt, if the salt has been smoked then of course it tastes smoky. Texture/size/shape matters as well in taste perception as well as moisture content.
