I'm looking to improve my burger recipe and technique. I've had so many bland burgers overstacked with toppings. Anyone can put toppings on a lump of meat; it's not not an excuse for the burger itself being a flavorless grey hockey puck. I'm not interested in diner-style burgers either where you're trying to disguise the lack of seasoning with an abundance of crust. The burger I'm looking for should be cooked to temperature, thick, meaty, and flavorful like a good steak. I think the burgers I'm making now are okay, but I know there's a lot of room for improvement and I'm ready to take it to the next level. Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
