Like all products, they're usually made to create a profit. That means taking advantage of peoples' nerdom. However, cooking is all about imagination. Good recipes that seem appropriate I approve of. Simple recipes that use modern ingredients and equipment that have just been renamed after a game is just a joke.

Horse is pretty tough. I know this may send /ck/ into fits, but jaccards aren't a gimmick, they work well for tenderizing subpar cuts. Not surprising as they're basically a fuckton of knives that cut through the meat, which helps sever a lot of connective tissues.

If you insist on serving meats ways they shouldn't be served I recommend one of these. Camel steaks, off a camel that wasn't farmed but worked, thus should be stewed. Congrats, you can now make a fucking strip steak which you can't even do with a farmed young camel.
