I dont think ive ever had the yams pureed like that though, usually my mom largely slices yams, slices butter on top to cover, brown sugar, maybe a little cinnamon, marshmallows fro like 5 mins so they get gooey, it quite good with chunks of yams instead bc only about 10 pieces is enough before it just becomes too much, wee usually have it with our after dinner coffee anyway
