as a person from Europe, I have to admit this guy is retarded.
The reason why japanese food is so different from anything else is because of the massive hype they got for being so exotic, and because the level of creativity the chefs there had to put into cooking up something edible from the crap they have. (inb4 Wagyu)
Face it, Japan is a rock in the middle of the ocean where nothing grows, except racism...
(which is also why they have different taste buds, they crave sweet much more than us cos it's so rare there)
