Anyone familiar with Totinos tortilla chips today will recognize pic related. It's garbage compared to its predecessor. This "hint of lime" crap is what took the place of something far, far better. That better thing being their Chile & Lime chips which were my favorite snack in the mid-90s. They were thicker chips which were covered in far more seasoning, and the seasoning was as the name tells. It was mildly spicy, very tart and sour, and just more bold in every way. Hint? Here's a hint: Fuck yourself, corporate.

It probably wasn't as much of a choice as it was more of a food law that most likely banned something they were doing or using in the flavors because I know it was not far off from the time that Lucas chili powder products were banned/stopped for whatever reasons I don't remember.

Tostitos Chile & Lime chips were the best of its kind. This pussy "hint of lime" crap is just sad in comparison. It doesn't even really taste like lime. It tastes like fake.
