>his personality is kinda cringe, like very corporate friendly
I think that's more just being something who is implicitly has a successful professional career that grants him a secure and comfortable standard of living, probably has a social circle with similar people, and doesn't have an issue conforming with the established culture. The iWatch, the Airbnb vacations, the smart dress, the obligatory Squarespace page, the measured voice and unassuming demeanor, etc. It gives off a very flat, unoriginal persona. A stereotype of his background.

Also, his gradual adoption of "good practice" editing, composition, setting, and equipment that doesn't really stand out only adds to the perception, just compare with his earliest videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrflTUyWqW4

The difference between that and "corporate friendly" is whether it is just a reflection of their natural personality and influences or whether it is intentionally forced. Again, going from his first videos, he still acts the same despite improving the production and presentation. I don't think you'd get a more crass, explicit, or eccentric personality from him if you met him off-camera and was open.
I think it's only cringe in that it's predictably soy and normie, so it doesn't really add to or take away from his videos. But a lot of people want a personality just as much or more than the food talk, and that's understandable.
