CHICKEN NUGGETS: Chicken, typically white meat -- along with chicken skin for fat and flavor -- lightly seasoned and formed into .6 ounce shapes, breaded and frozen for later frying in hot oil for service.

CHICKEN TENDERS: Typically chicken breast meat, boned and skinned, sliced into planks, breaded and frozen for later deep frying or baking for service.

Chicken tenders (or 'tendies', as known by the gravely mentally retarded) share a completely different texture from chicken nuggets. Cooking time for chicken tenders is typically increased and portion sizes are less specific.

While popular, neither dish is considered high cuisine, targeted typically to children and the abject poor due to their ubiquity and relatively low portion cost.
