ITT: Curry

What are your favorite ways to make curry? Stove top or slow cooker? Paste or powder? Cocount milk or no?

I'm about to make some Panang curry with pork, pineapple and potato. Perfect for a rainy day like it is today.

I'm absolutely in love with Indian food atm. Tried making different curries (Vindaloo mostly) but they never taste the way I want them to.

Post your best Indian recipes and share the knowledge, any neat tips are also welcomed.

So I'm living independently for a while and I'm using this time to get to grips with more recipes. I'm gonna try doing curry tonight but I'm not sure about how I'm supposed to go about cooking it.

The plan is to go down to Tesco's and grab some rice, some chicken breasts, a jar of curry sauce (noob option since it's my first time) and some other stuff to put in the curry but I don't know what yet.

Is it like, cook the chicken and other stuff in a frying pan first then add the curry afterwards and leave it for a while? I have an onion left over from my last shop, could put that in? What other stuff could I chuck in there?

I don't know much about cooking, and I've never eaten or actually know what curry is, so a question.

When I was walking near him well he was cooking it, the smell or spieces or w/e, it was really bad, it got into my nose and was burning, and It made me cough really bad.

Is that normal? He says it's normal, but I don't know, that shit seems fucked up.

Had dinner at a friend's house long ago and had authentic indian curry, and instantly fell in love. Their whole house smelled like curry all the time and their food was so spicy.
