Personally I was vegetarian (mostly vegan but had periods where I wasn't strict about it) for about 10 years but stopped. I still watch my meat intake but I do eat seafood and dairy. And get fresh eggs from a lady with chickens which I think is fine. Considering making the switch again, I dunno.
Freeganism sounds most ethical I think, I'd rather not see food go to waste than having the hyperfocus that some vegans have, as if it's an issue of personal 'purity' and by not consuming you're somehow better but food is still going to waste
