I'm confused, why would people go reat lengths to give a huge tip like 30 - 50 bucks for the waiter. When the cook/check is the one preparing the food.

The waiter is only bringing you the food, granted they did some work as in bring the food to the table and your drinks and be around when you want a refill, but that's it. The cook did most of the work. Restaurants need to change how they paying the waiters.

I don't mind tipping but i'm not going to give a waiter anything over a 20 especially when they didn't do shit, must be why i don't go out much. Tipping gotten out of hand
