I think high age bourbon is overrated mostly. Too much age and it just tastes like tannins, or it actually winds up being too balanced without a standout flavor. Higher proof can combat that but that's hard to find with high age statements.
Give me something young and flavorful like OGD100 or Evan Williams BiB
