what are some good meals that will make a person save a ton of cash from going to a fast food chain? while i understand that cutting out high-calorie foods is ideal, having the ability to save money at the very least would help, as it would build the transition to healthier alternatives as you change up the recipe.

anyway, things like pizzas and hamburgers come to mind, but i'm sure there are other things like ribs, steaks, and other not-so-fast meals that one could get from a local bar but wind up paying a fair amount. What are some good recipes you've found saved you your wallet but without inhibiting your satisfaction and reproduced the same flavor of a well known place?
