Once a week, grab a huge carton of eggs and boil them and put them back into the carton. (Write on the carton that they're boiled) You now have cheap quick healthy protein option for any time during the work day.

If you have a good blender, blend yourself a large veggie-heavy smoothie every day. Think of it as a salad that you don't have to chew. Healthy, filling and good source of fiber to keep your pooper pooping

Carbs are going to help you feel fuller longer - so choose one that you like and can eat. Go to the thrift store and grab a small cheap $5 rice cooker, toss a few cups of rice and water in and push the button and walk away. You can store the rice in those cheap plastic containers or mush them into Onigiri and plastic wrap them to keep them fresh.

Last, grab a huge pack of chicken thighs and bake them and wrap them up in individual zip lock baggies or toss in with your rice in their plastic containers.

All of this can be done once a week during your day off and requires minimum effort and cooking skill. It's easy to grab a few things and sling them into your work bag before you leave for the day.

If you can't afford a few extra dollars for lunch that you're going to eat five day old chicken breasts, it's time to step it up in the world and get a better job. Or save some actual time and just make a goddamned sandwich.

This is a good point. Another reason I hate meal prep.
