Well in TX our Texmex places are actually good, not the same as a more authentic taqueria or taco truck though, but I agree that taquerias are pretty bomb and if I didn't have good tex mex Id only eat at taquerias if possible. I'm actually about to go to a pretty good 24 hour tex mex , it's 4:15 am
