I had McDonald's for lunch and now my stomach is upset

Just had a near-death experience on the toilet after cooking a stew that I put way too much double cream in. Can I still eat the non-dairy bits parts of it slowly to avoid a repeat of said near-death experience? I don't want to waste what I've cooked.
