I live with my parents. Ive cooked for them for years because they let me use their cash for shopping. I was always frugal and never wasted money on my account, always kept it cheap so I wouldnt be a burden to them. Recently I realized that they were taking advantage of my good will and decided to stop cooking for them and doing all the shopping.

To feed myself and to buy premium good shit that I love that I never bought on their dime, it costs me less than $200 a month. Stocking the pantry and fridge with my raw ingredients brings me so much joy. Now when they shop, they only buy canned goods and frozen meals since they cant cook. I eat like a king having stroganoff, steak, fresh tuna, homemade soups and stews, chicken thighs and whatever else while they microwave bullshit.

Slowly they are realizing how good they had it when I cooked. They have been asking if I need anything from the store more frequently because they want me back. Wont happen.

TL:DR I love every part of shopping these days.

my family pissed me off this year so im not cooking shit for them. sucks for them too since they are literal whiteoids and cant make anything. frozen butterball turkey for 50 cents a pound is derosting. i usually buy a nice, fresh, never frozen turkey for $70~ at the butcher. usually do fresh sweet potatoes and green beans, bake bread, mac and cheese. not doind SHIT this year fuck them
