You are a blight on the western world.

Get hired with with the boss being enthusiastic, but knowing I have a chronic health issue that may require me to call in. She says I'm the best new hire they've ever had as they barely have to train me. Have to call in my third day. Boss wants to let me go. Beg over the phone to at least meet with me on Friday. Show up half an hour early. She putters around the establishment avoiding me for a goddamned hour and fifteen minutes with employees occasionally reminding her. Finally the co-owner meets with me. Wants me there, fills out additional paperwork with me, and I'll be on the next schedule and manager will call me with details.

Not on the next schedule. Told to call and check. Told too busy call back later. Call back later. Call back later. Told to call back when supervisor is in. Call back later, told we'll call you when work is available. Come back in two weeks to talk to manager or owner and get screamed at because people who have been fired can't be on premise.

They lost the business about 7 months later.
