Gordo may've started out well, under Marco,(who you may remember gave all his Stars BACK,) but for a guy who made his money tearing apart both good and bad cooks, ESPECIALLY those who used frozen foods, (although I agree with him, there's NO PLACE other than the deep fryer for frozen foods, and a good restaurant shouldn't be stocking Simplot fries and SYSCO and Schwann's appetizers anyway.

Every self-reflective and honest chef knows, you're only as good as your last meal, and the inevitable end result,(physically that is--the experience and memories are the real product,) is going to get flushed down the toilet anyway.
From an Extra-terrestrial POV, elevating this life necessity into the ornate and often gatekept "Art" seems odd. You may as well elevate a bathroom attendant into tiered and awarded levels of expertise and service.
Truly everyone should be able to cook their own meals well enough to present to others.
The recent,(truly starting mid 80s,) hard push of cooking shows and promotion of Culinary art schools was primarily due to the Yuppie,(BOOMER,) money being splashed around for display.
I Can't wait to see Apocalypse cooking shows.
