I share the sentiment but I also think it should come within your means.
I've noticed this weird trend where the ones most likely to cultivate these very expensive hobbies (be it coffee, or alcohol, or teas, premium chocolates, you name it) are middle class people for which the expense is a non-trivial hit that makes them go from "Could save one grand every month" to "Lives month to month".

Of course this will call the counter-argument that "And save money for what? You gotta enjoy at least something in life", but I wasn't trying to argument against hobbies.
I just find it odd that the class most likely to pick up this sort of very involved, expensive kind of hobby is also the kind of person whose financial and life prospects are hit the hardest by it.
