We had that too. I was usually too poor to afford it but I might get a tenderloin sandwich once a month with some pickles, onions and mustard. I felt like a king as I ate alone. Nothing much has changed :(

Nope. I is for serious. American engineer in Bongland. In the facility I work at, the 'canteen' serves every shit entree with mashed peas and beans.
I asked for toast at breakfast time and they said they only had fried bread. These fuckers literally deep-fry bread. English food has a bad reputation for a reason

Isn't nasty, but worked at McDurdle's in high school. The breakfast shift was essentially me and 7-8 of my teenage bros plus one 40-something manager who even Jesus hated. Every hour on the hour we would sing Prince's 'Most Beautiful Girl in the World' in full falsetto to piss off himself and the customers. He would throw a shit-fit but knew that he couldn't send us all home
