Really? I did get the notion that it should have a bit more rigidity to it; ironically this came out feeling more like a successful sponge cake than my one attempt at a sponge years ago (that came out dense and chewy like bread). I'm guessing whisking it more before cooking would result in it being denser?

When should you add those ingredients, I guess any time during the initial mixing? I don't think I've ever seen creamed corn here, but I've not been looking.

The only thing I don't really know is, what do you eat cornbread with? I made mine to have with chili but I'm not sure what else it could go with.
