It's significantly cheaper to make your own, but that's bullshit. Chuck roast or steak jerkies lose about 60-70% of their weight in water once dried. After all is said and done you're paying about $10/lb for finished home-made jerky vs. $20/lb for bagged jerky from the store. This estimate that doesn't take the cost of any seasonings into consideration or cost of electricity which (once considered) will push your unit cost closer to the commercial stuff. This estimate also doesn't take into account whether you're buying meat that's on sale, or if you harvest your own through farming or hunting, but the latter isn't typical for most of the world. The main benefit of making your own is that you get to use your own seasonings not necessarily the cost savings.

Why are the children on this website so obsessed with increasing testosterone? Unless you have low T to begin with, it's just going to make you aggressive and emotional, along with the mood swings and negative physical effects that come with a hormonal imbalance, and if you eat a bunch of raw onions you're going to smell disgusting to women anyway.
